SIF has been granted the ANBI-status from the Dutch Tax Authorities. Although the board never had any doubt that SIF would be granted this status, the board is very pleased with the granting of the ANBI-status. The ANBI-status implies that donations are tax-deductible (threshold) for Dutch citizens, and that SIF does not have to pay taxes over its received donations.

Met terugwerkende kracht heeft het SIF de ANBI-status toegekend gekregen van de belastingdienst. Hoewel er geen twijfel bestond dat het SIF deze status zou gaan krijgen, is het bestuur uiteraard zeer blij met deze toekenning. De toekenning houdt in dat donateurs hun gift kunnen aftrekken van de inkomstenbelasting (drempel) en dat het SIF vrijgesteld is van het betalen van schenkbelasting en erfbelasting.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is generally recognized as one of the most influential spiritual leaders of the present day. With his spiritual techniques, interventions and advice, he reaches a large section of the population – from students to world leaders. Thanks to his open and practical approach to spirituality, the subject is now more firmly on the agenda of businesses both large and small throughout the whole world.
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar (born 1956 in India) is the founder of the Art of Living Foundation, the International Association of Human Values and the World Forum for Ethics and Business. He has also established hundreds of schools and he is currently working to set up a Sri Sri university. Via his organizations, he tries to create a harmonious and more human world in which people everywhere go through life as one family.

Change of family name of the chairman of the board

The chairman of the board has regained his original Chinese family name. His original family name is Ong. His parents changed their family name from Ong to Osman in Indonesia, in order to prohibit to be recognized as being Chinese in a list of names. Chinese were in that time named as communists and therefore potential enemies of the state by the right militaristic regime in Indonesia. After 46 years he regained his original family name by means of a Dutch Royal Decision. By the way, the chairman, Houwke Ong has the Dutch nationality.

De voorzitter van het bestuur heeft zijn oorspronkelijke Chinese achternaam weer terug. Zijn oorspronkelijke achternaam is Ong. Zijn ouders hebben indertijd in Indonesië hun Chinese achternaam Ong gewijzigd in Osman om niet uit een namenlijst uitgepikt te kunnen worden als zijnde Chinees. Chinezen werden indertijd in Indonesië door het rechts-militaristische regime bestempeld als zijnde communisten en daarmee staatsgevaarlijk. Na 46 jaar heeft hij via een Koninklijk Besluit zijn oorspronkelijke achternaam weer terug. Onze voorzitter, Houwke Ong, heeft trouwens de Nederlandse nationaliteit.
The Inspirational Council now has two members

The search for members of the Inspirational Council has been succesful. The board is pleased to be able to welcome two members for the Inspirational Council. The two members are mrs. Puck Dinjens, senior advisor at GITP Executive Partners and mrs. Johanna Räkers, director at Clear-Essence. Together, they will search for the third member of the Council.
The Inspirational Council supervises the proceedings of the Board, but more importantly, it inspires the board in achieving the goals of the Foundation.
De Raad van Inspiratie heeft nu twee leden

De gesprekken met kandidaten voor de Raad van Inspiratie zijn voorspoedig verlopen. Het bestuur is blij twee leden voor de Raad van Inspiratie te kunnen verwelkomen. De twee leden zijn Puck Dinjens, senior adviseur bij GITP Executive Partners en Johanna Räkers, DGA van Clear-Essence. Zij zullen gezamenlijk een derde lid zoeken om de Raad voltallig te maken.
De raad zal naast het inspireren van het bestuur in het bereiken van de beoogde doelstellingen ook toezicht houden, in de wettelijke zin, op het handelen van het bestuur.
